My brothers and sisters,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While looking back over the past 28 years, it is abundantly clear that Our Lady of Lourdes would not have such a magnificent place of worship and center for the transmission of faith and culture, had it not been for the fervent prayer, love and generosity of everyone both inside and outside the parish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And at the same time, we must also look forward to the future (especially our children\u2019s) and be mindful of the needs to maintain the family\u2019s Catholic morality, the Vietnamese culture, and the community\u2019s
common social services and activities. Therefore, we earnestly invite everyone, from all walks of life,
inside and outside the parish, to actively collaborate hand-in-hand with our “Walking Together Towards Our Future<\/strong>\u201d in constructing our parish\u2019s \u201cActivity Center<\/strong>\u201d.
To turn this dream into reality, the parish earnestly invites you to do the following tangible things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* To our parish Organizations:<\/strong> You are the leaders and driving wind behind our parish, so please encourage all members to contribute according to each person’s financial ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* To our young Families: <\/strong>The gift of our current church building and parish hall were made possible through the countless sacrifices of our forefathers. It is our turn to join hands with them to build up for the next generation. We ask that each family prayerfully consider sacrificing unnecessary spending towards the construction of the Activity Center \u2013 with the recommended pledge of $1000\/year, over 3 years, which is equivalent to only $20\/week\/family. This may be a small token of gratitude in light of the immeasurable blessings we have received from the Lord<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* To our Children:<\/strong> We ask that parents help form a \u201cgiving heart\u201d in their children by accepting for each child a \u201cplastic coin pig\u201d, whereby the child learns how to make sacrifices and contributions to the construction of their own Activity Center. This may be a beautiful and concrete step towards the social and spiritual development of our children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our parish needs the generosity and support of our parishioners, benefactors, friends, and families, with each at the pace of their own financial ability. It is through unity, love and prayer that we will be able to work together, hand-in-hand and brick-by-brick, to build up the parish and home into a place of worship that glorifies God<\/p>\n\n\n\n
